About Studio 707

Mary Frances Kennedy Fisher who brilliantly savored and shared life’s pleasures with all around her including me.

In 2005 Hunter Public Relations closed its doors on the final chapter in a 25-year-long history, representing the interests of food, beverage, hospitality, health and design clients worldwide.  For me, at least, the time to practice public relations had passed.  From the start, my nature and years of journalism studies had given me sufficient antipathy about public relations to inform an unorthodox approach.  And, while I had incrementally and successfully changed my way of doing things, I was ready to venture forth to a completely new age.

Today our workshop is housed in what was a tannery.  In its present incarnation The Sawyer Tannery consists of a community of rustic wood and brick structures housing a vibrant mix of artisan workshops, artists and wine support services.

Our work here is varied and involves many friends and partners on several continents and in sundry walks of life.  Life takes us in both directed and completely unanticipated directions.  Recently our journeys have included:
  • The Yountville Community Portrait project,
  • Seeing Through the Fog, a collaboration between Gateway High School and 826 Valencia,
  • An introduction to Decatur Island with developer Phil Sherburne who follows the green thread,
  • The petite-syrah, cabernet shootout,
  • The introduction of three single-vineyard cabernets.
